‘Rolls-Royce’ pill kills lad, 16

A BOY of 16 has died after taking an ecstasy-style tablet called “Rolls-Royce”.

Police are warning people against using the drug and urge anyone else who has taken it to seek medical attention.

The boy, who has not been named, is believed to have taken the tablet, which is stamped with the Rolls-Royce logo, at a Halloween rave in Gwytherin, near Abergele, North Wales. Paramedics were called at 1am yesterday and he was taken to Glan Clywd Hospital, where he died.

Supt Gareth Evans said: “This is a tragic incident in which a young boy has lost his life. The investigation is at an early stage.”

North Wales Police tweeted: “If you took any illegal substances at the festival you may wish to seek medical advice.”
