Wait is worth it
Suranne Jones thinks there is still a place for old-fashioned TV drama screened weekly – rather than bingeing on boxsets.
More and more shows – like BBC hit Gunpowder – are being put on iPlayer as an entire series once the first episode airs.
Speaking about Doctor Foster, Suranne said: “I am just proud the reaction people had to it and how connected people were by it because it was like a community with our viewers.
“And I think that was down to the fact that it was on once a week and it was not binge watched. People watched an episode and then they had to wait a week for the next one. That created a suspense and people loved it.”
