‘Bogus Botox surgeon used dangerous face treatments’

- BY ADAM ASPINALL

A FAKE surgeon left three women in agony and one disfigured with “bogus Botox” procedures, a court heard.

Ozan Melin, 41, said he trained in the US but the General Medical Council had not heard of him, it is alleged.

He is accused of “recklessly” giving Marcelle King, Jozette Sheppard and Carol Kingscott face injections with undiluted solutions that caused severe swelling and bruising. Mrs King ended up in A&E suffering anaphylactic shock, Bournemouth crown court heard. From a mobile clinic called The Smooth Face Botox Company, he had been using a treatment that was “unknown and extremely dangerous”, it is claimed. Melin , of Uxbridge, Middlesex, denies grievous bodily harm and fraud. His wife at the time, Lisa Bolster, 50, pleads not guilty to fraud.
