SONE ALUKO admits that struggling Reading desperately need a win tonight, with manager Jaap Stam’s job in danger.

The Royals host Forest having won just one of their last nine games, putting the Dutchman under mounting pressure.

And Reading have also claimed only one league victory this term at the Madejski Stadium – such a fortress in last season’s run to the play-off final.

Forward Aluko (above), a £6.5million summer signing from Fulham, said: “A win would settle some people down and be a big boost, hopefully be something to build on.

“If you want to do anything in this league you have to show good home form, and then pick up points on the road.

“Reading’s home form last season was unbelievable, that was the basis of them getting to the play-off final.

“We need to turn it around and I believe that we can.”
