Lewis Hamilton, who gets paid gargantuan sums of money for holding his foot steady on an accelerator, says he would be “incredibly honoured” to be knighted. He says: “I’m just trying to represent England in the best way I can.”

Rubbish. Hamilton is interested solely in representing Lewis Hamilton in the best way he can.

If he gave two hoots about England he’d come out of tax exile in Monaco and pitch in properly for the health service, police and firefighters which make our country great.
