SEVILLA NEED OSCAR WINNER

SEVILLA are hoping to end a dreadful run of defeats when they play Spartak Moscow in the Champions League tonight.

The three-time Europa League champions – from 2014-16 – and Liverpool’s Group E opponents have struggled to overcome the departures of influential boss Jorge Sampaoli and sporting director Monchi.

The void left by the pair was exposed by three consecutive defeats, 1-0 at Athletic Bilbao, 5-1 at Spartak Moscow and 4-0 at Valencia.

Monchi’s replacement Oscar Arias said: “If you compare him to me, I’ll always lose. It’s easy to blame our problems on him not being here.”
