I’M REALLY HUNG UP ON STAG WOMAN

-

Dear Coleen

I met a woman on a night out while on a stag do over a week ago. We had a chat so I asked for her number. A couple of days later I texted her and got no reply, so I thought, fair enough, she’s not interested.

A week later, I went out again and met someone else. While we were together in the evening I couldn’t stop thinking about this other woman, which brought things to a rather abrupt conclusion.

I’m confused because I don’t usually get hung up on women and I only met her once. I don’t want to pester her and seem annoying, but I don’t want it to affect me either.

Coleen says

So you’re not used to rejection, right? Look, if you’re single and dating, then rejection is part of it. You can’t be a match for everyone you meet, whether it’s for one night of fun or something more serious.

If you really liked this woman and that’s why she’s playing on your mind, then give it one more shot. But if she doesn’t reply again, then cut your losses and move on.

You don’t know her at all, so she shouldn’t be affecting you like this. And it certainly shouldn’t be stopping you from meeting other women who could turn out to be a great match for you.
