The Duke of Cambridge and more than 100 celebrities turned out for the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards, in partnership with TSB, which honour the courage and bravery of everyday heroes, including the Grenfell Tower community and emergency service workers involved in the London and Manchester terror attacks. Here are your tributes... Hey, c’mon! What’s with your faint praise for FI hero Lewis Hamilton? Surely we in England haven’t got that much to boast about at the moment so we should be bigging him up as much as possible?

I mean, if he wants to dress like a deckchair in his spare time, surely we should allow that he might be fed up with his white boiler suit?
