Silent no more

THE only upside of the Harvey Weinstein scandal is suddenly women are no longer prepared to suffer in silence.

By speaking out they might change the culture in workplaces for better and for ever.

Fresh allegations against Dustin Hoffman are depressingly familiar, a woman telling of enduring vile behaviour as a teenager.

With an almost daily flood of horror stories from Westminster it feels a dam has burst and going back to the bad old days is not an option.

Ending harassment so everybody treats everybody with respect would be a huge step forward to a better society and a fairer country.
