Cazorla’s ‘walk’ fear

-

ARSENAL’S Santi Cazorla was told he should be “satisfied” just to walk again after an injury became infected.

The Spain midfielder has not played since October last year, undergoing no fewer than EIGHT operations. They included a skin graft from his arm which included part of a tattoo bearing his daughter’s name.

His right Achilles was ‘eaten’ by gangrene and the 32-year-old said: “There was eight centimetres of it missing.”

He added: “It has not been as simple an injury as people have believed.

“The doctors told me ‘if you get to walk again with your son in the garden, be satisfied’.”
