MATT’S TOON UP IS AN ED-ACHE
BOURNEMOUTH manager Eddie Howe admits it breaks his heart seeing Matt Ritchie shine in a Newcastle shirt. Ritchie (left) faces his old club today for the first time since a £12million move to Toon at the start of last season. Howe said: “He made a huge impact on us, going from League One to the Premier League. What a person, what a character, such a drive to want to win. “He was a magnificent player for us over a long period of time and we should always remember players like Matt very, very fondly. “His attitude and will to win was second to none, and it pains me to see him do so well for Newcastle, because he did so well for us.”
