COTTERILL: KEEP A CLEAN SHEET OR WE’LL LOSE

-

BIRMINGHAM boss Steve Cotterill admits the struggling club lack fire-power.

Blues have won just once in four matches under Harry Redknapp’s successor. They have not scored in their last three games and have lost striker Isaac Vassell to a long-term knee injury.

Ahead of today’s trip to Barnsley, who are just two places but four points above Blues, Cotterill (above) admitted: “We know we are not free-scoring. We have had to make sure we are strong and organised to keep clean sheets. We are not all of a sudden going to start turning into a team scoring three every week.

“We haven’t got an abundance of goals in the team. Birmingham haven’t been flush with goals for a long time.

“That is something to look at when you are recruiting but what we can do in January I don’t know.”
