CLEMENT SEES STORMY TIME FOR NEW BOYS

-

PAUL CLEMENT has told the Premier League newcomers their honeymoon start to the season will not last.

The Swansea head coach is preparing for today’s visit by Brighton, who came up from the Championship and are currently safely in midtable. Newcastle and Huddersfield, promoted with Albion, are also well clear of the relegation zone.

But Clement (left) said: “In the past it’s always been difficult for the clubs that come up and they’ve struggled. In this situation they have started well, but it’s only been 10 games.

“There are 38 games in total, things can change really quickly and that’s how I think about my own team.

“We’ve won two in 10, but at the end of last season we won four in five. Sometimes you start thinking where’s the next point coming from because you can’t see it, then you start gathering momentum all of a sudden. That’s what we need to do.”

Swansea will be without the injured Renato Sanches and Martin Olsson.
