Antiques man charged over death of girl
A MILLIONAIRE antiques dealer has been charged over the death of a sevenyear-old girl.
Robert Peters, 55, appeared in court on Saturday morning for attempted murder.
At that point the girl was still alive, but critically ill in hospital. The youngster, who cannot be named for legal reasons but was known to Peters, died at around 10.30am that day.
Prosecutors may now make the offence murder.
The girl was injured at a £1million property in Wimbledon, South West London, on Friday.
At Wimbledon magistrates court, Peters gave no plea and spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address.
He was remanded in custody until December 1.
