SAINTS TOSH MOANS YOSH

Don’t say ‘that’s all, Vokes’ - Burnley a better bet than Blues

-

MAYA YOSHIDA has criticised Southampton tactics after yet another blank at St Mary’s.

Claude Puel was sacked as Saints boss at the end of last season for being too negative but the football under Mauricio Pellegrino is equally boring.

The south coast side have failed to score in six of their 12 games this season, leading to calls from fans for Pellegrino to be given the boot.

Defender Yoshida said: “Football is about scoring, so if we don’t score we’ll never win. We’ve dropped so many points.

“We had to win against Brighton and Burnley. They are important points dropped by us.

“We have to think how we can change and improve.”
