Tiger mauls zookeeper
A TERRIFIED zookeper screams as she is mauled by a tiger that pounced as she entered its enclosure at feeding time.
Typhoon, a 16-year-old Siberian, pinned her to the ground watched by horrified visitors. One said: “Her face was bleeding. She screamed and tried to fight it off.” Onlookers threw objects to distract it long enough for the keeper to escape.
She was treated in hospital for multiple injuries after the attack at Kalingrad Zoo in Russia. Bosses said Typhoon had just been defending its territory, was “stressed” and would not be destroyed.
