Rolf couldn’t have abused my girl age 8
Star could have convictions quashed
ROLF Harris could have all 12 of his sex convictions overturned after the father of his youngest victim told judges the assault could not have happened.
Harris, 87, claims fresh evidence proves he did not have a fair trial.
He was jailed for five years, nine months in 2014 for assaulting an eight-year-old and two teenage girls, and abusing his daughter’s friend.
But the dad of the youngest victim told a court due to her age he would not have let her go to a community centre where she said Harris groped her in Portsmouth in 1969.
There were no press reports of the star visiting the centre and the only other person claiming to recall it was a criminal and liar, the court heard.
Harris’s barrister Stephen Vullo QC said: “Is the reality just blindingly obvious that he just never attended?”
The star looked well as he arrived at the Court of Appeal with niece Jenny Harris and other supporters.
Three judges will now decide whether all 12 counts should be overturned. The hearing continues.
