MUST-WIN TAM ALL SET FOR BIG SLAM

- FROM DEAN WILSON in Adelaide

ENGLAND’S women are confident their do-or-die Test match will bring out the best in them, or they can kiss the Ashes goodbye. Currently 4-2 down after the one-day series, Heather Knight’s team will lose the multi-format Ashes if Australia claim the four points on offer for tomorrow’s Test before the T20 series even begins. But opener Tammy Beaumont reckons the team will use the same character that helped them in the World Cup when they play their day/ night Test in Sydney. “It is not great to know that if we lose, we’ve lost the whole thing with three T20s left to go,” said Beaumont (left). “But we lost the opening World Cup game against India and showed a lot of character and resilience to come back from that, so I’m sure having the added pressure will bring out a performance from us. “I’m going to bat how I do in one-day cricket, but with less risk. That’s what makes me play at my best.”
