SOUTHAMPTON want former Manchester City flop Stevan Jovetic to banish their goalscoring woes.

Saints boss Mauricio Pellegrino is eyeing a January swoop for Montenegro frontman Jovetic, 27, who is unhappy at Monaco.

Pellegrino has come under fire from Saints fans who have seen their side net just nine times in 11 Premier League games so far this season. Jovetic (left), who only joined Monaco from Inter Milan in the summer on a four-year contract, scored eight league goals for City over a three-year spell at the Etihad.
