Fiona Bruce says the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow is the very epitome of low-tech.

The presenter tells us: “We rarely have a phone signal on location so instead have a Tupperware box with a slit in the top into which the experts pop a bit of paper with the items they’d like to be filmed written down.

“Every half an hour our editor looks in the box and decides which ones to film.”
