Spag bol put me over limit

A YOUNG driver told a judge that her mum’s spaghetti bolognese, made with red wine, put her over the drink-drive limit.

Amy Shingles, 23, drank two pints before driving her Audi TT, parking it in the middle of a road.

She had 44mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mg.

She appealed against her fine and ban, but Reading crown court rejected the claim. Shingles, of Ascot, Berks, must pay a £403 fine and court costs of £1,583.
