JOHN Lewis certainly know how to bring Christmas tear…

Here’s a sneak preview of its latest yuletide advert, featuring a cute little kid and cuddly, seven-foot monster.

And you’re going to need your hankies at the ready again.

Joe, seven, is kept awake night after night by snoring Moz who kips under his bed without him knowing. But one night he makes a funny noise and the youngster spots him.

They form an unlikely friendship, playing long into the night.

But the fun takes its toll on Joe as he falls asleep during the day – including on the football pitch.

Moz realises his pal needs his rest and goes, in a heart-tugging scene.

But he leaves Joe (played by twins called Ethan and Tobias) a present to remind him of their friendship.

The two-minute ad, which airs tonight at 9.30, runs to Beatles tune Golden Slumbers, sung by Elbow.

Director Michel Gondry revealed: “My ex said, ‘It must make people cry.’ I showed her it last week and she cried. Phew.”
