The latest collection by the talented Missouri songstress cherry-picks succulently odd offcuts from her prolific career. Alongside Olsen’s spectral and enthralling voice, her dazzling and deliriously wiggedout electric guitar makes a certain mark as on the suitably named Special.

Angel’s own songs (Only With You, Sweet Dreams) have heavenly originality and fascination aplenty, but the dazzling covers here, including her magnificent version of Springsteen’s Tougher Than The Rest, have to be heard too.

Definitely has wings enough to fly.
