The GMB union has secured a deal with security firm Securitas to pay all staff the ‘real’ living wage. The company will begin the move to ensure its 10,000 staff are paid the voluntary living wage – currently £8.75 across the UK and £10.20 in London – within three years.
Motorcycle sales hit the brakes again last month. Just over 7,400 new bikes hit the road in October, down 13.6% on 12 months ago and the 10th monthly fall in a row. The National Motorcycle Dealers Association blamed a previous spike in sales.
TSB says its customers will be among the first in Europe to use facial recognition technology. The feature, on Apple’s latest iPhone X, allows users to unlock their TSB mobile banking app and make payments.
Profits at the airline Flybe nearly halved after it was hit by higher than expected aircraft maintenance and IT costs. The firm, which issued a profit warning last month, made £8.4million for the six months to September 30.
