#Sheridan Smith’s ITV show Sheridan, in which she performed songs from her new album, was a fantastic one-off programme. The actress, left, certainly knows how to belt out a tune, and her interview with Alexander Armstrong was both funny and revealing. I reckon she would have no trouble following in the footsteps of Cilla Black, who she portrayed so brilliantly in the biopic Cilla, with her own series. Nancie Rutherford, Sevenoaks, Kent

#What a wonderful eye-opener the series The Great War in Numbers is on Yesterday. It examines all aspects of the “war to end all wars” in fantastic detail.

Some of the photography is stunning, showing the true horror of trench warfare. It’s very powerful. D W Shattock, Bristol
