KUNG FU EVRA SACKED AND BANNED FROM ALL EUROPEAN FOOTBALL
PATRICE EVRA has been banned from all European club football for eight months and sacked by Marseille for his kung fu kick on a fan.
Now the former Manchester United captain, 36, must decide whether to retire or continue his career in
China or the Middle East if FIFA does not extend the ban worldwide.
The France defender became the first player ever to be sent off before a Europa League game when he attacked a fan at Portugal’s Vitoria Guimaraes after abuse from sections of his own support. UEFA banned him until June 30 2018 and fined him £9,000. Then Marseille terminated his contract.
Eric Cantona (left) was banned for nine months and fined £20,000 in 1995 for attacking a Crystal Palace fan at Selhurst Park.
