FEARS Ea­mon Keat­ing TORY cuts on mil­i­tary se­cu­rity have left our key bases open to ter­ror at­tacks, it was warned.

MoD Po­lice pro­tect 35 sen­si­tive sites – in­clud­ing Faslane on the Clyde, the home of Tri­dent nukes.

But num­bers are down to 2,300 and De­fence Po­lice Fed­er­a­tion chair Ea­mon Keat­ing said: “Sites are now be­low the min­i­mum-level se­cu­rity needed to pro­tect them from a ter­ror at­tack.”

He has urged the De­fence Sec­re­tary to re­think feared cuts of up to £15mil­lion.

An MoD spokesman said: “The MoD Po­lice has enough peo­ple to meet its com­mit­ment to pro­tect­ing key sites.” EX­POSED Army ‘is lack­ing equip­ment’

THE UK’s “bro­ken” mil­i­tary is too ille­quipped to meet the loom­ing threat from North Korea, an ex-head of Joint Forces Com­mand has warned.
