Cop cuts at key sites a terror risk Ex-Forces chief warns of ‘out of date’ services

FEARS Eamon Keating TORY cuts on military security have left our key bases open to terror attacks, it was warned.

MoD Police protect 35 sensitive sites – including Faslane on the Clyde, the home of Trident nukes.

But numbers are down to 2,300 and Defence Police Federation chair Eamon Keating said: “Sites are now below the minimum-level security needed to protect them from a terror attack.”

He has urged the Defence Secretary to rethink feared cuts of up to £15million.
