Time for Green light over porn
How much longer must we wait to discover if Theresa May’s deputy really did have a stash of porn on his work computer?
Last week a former Met assistant commissioner claimed he did.
Damian Green huffed the allegation was “totally untrue”.
This week former Met commissioner Paul Stephenson said he knew of allegations at the time.
Green responded saying “no allegations were put to him”.
Not quite so strident as his first denial. And not remotely relevant.
If the pornography existed – and we’ll soon know – there’s no suggestion Mr Green’s behaviour is illegal. Simply immoral.
Although the idea any MP was enjoying himself quite that much, while you and me were paying his wages, seems pretty criminal to me.
