Broad­band a drag for 73%

BROAD­BAND pro­vi­sion is not up to speed in 73% of towns, a watch­dog claims.

Ash­field, Notts, gets the worst ser­vice with a 62% dif­fer­ence be­tween ac­tual and ad­ver­tised speeds, ac­cord­ing to Which? mag.

Also in the bot­tom 10 ar­eas are Cam­bridge, Ha­vant, Hants, and St Al­bans, Herts.

Which? spokesman Alex Neill said: “This gap raises ques­tions on whether peo­ple across the coun­try are re­ally get­ting the ser­vice they are pay­ing for.”
