Store’s war and pizza
Sainsbury’s aims to grab a slice of the pizza delivery market with a new takeaway service.
In a UK supermarket first, the chain is taking on Domino’s by trialling counters in three stores.
You can phone in your order and pick up a pizza 30 minutes later for as little as £3.60 for a standard 10-inch, or £4 for a 14-inch.
Extra toppings can be added along with sides like wedges, salad and drinks.
If the three-month pilot in Cambridge, Bradford and Redhill, Surrey, is a hit it will go nationwide.
