Blues have to fight.. against arrogance
WEST BROM’S manager when asked if he will bring in a psychologist. “I’m the psychologist.” Only two words. Peak Pardew. IN as emphatic a case of pot, kettle and black as you could dream up, it seems Manchester City’s excessive celebrations were behind the tunnel fracas at Old Trafford last Sunday.
Behavioural judgements made by Jose Mourinho lack any real credibility but City should be guarding against arrogance.
With dominance can come arrogance and it is not a nice trait.
There is precious little sign of it on the pitch, although it was surprising that only Ashley Young took it upon himself to demonstrate his displeasure with that spell of keepball in the closing minutes of the Manchester derby.crew access to the For that derby match, City had asked for permission to allow an Amazon film away dressing room.
United refused, presumably as other clubs will. The ramifications of City agreeing a deal that gives a company other than Sky and BT unprecedented access behind the scenes are considerable.
Let’s put it this way, Sky and BT are paying about £11million for every Premier League game they broadcast.
You can bet they would love to be in the City dressing room, in the canteen, on the team bus.
The Amazon deal is, apparently, worth £10m to City. That doesn’t get you a quarter of Kyle Walker (above, with Danilo). This is just City doing it because they can.
It is not breaking any contracts, it is a commercial venture they are allowed to pursue, just like Liverpool have done in the past.
It is, though, a hint that City’s support of the collectivity of Premier League clubs might not be as strong as others.
It might just be seen as a touch arrogant.
APPARENTLY, Dawid Malan bats with two boxes. In the early hours of Thursday morning, you could see why.
