Zero change

JUST imagine the reaction from West Brom crowd if Tony Pulis had stayed in his job and their next three games had finished 0-0, 0-1 (to the side bottom of the table) and 0-0.

No disrespect to Alan Pardew, who took over from Pulis as manager at the Hawthorns. Getting a goalless draw at Anfield is never a bad result for the visitors... and free-scoring, free-flowing football is not easy to deliver at the drop of a hat.

But if West Brom inch their way to safety under Pardew, will any of the fans who wanted Pulis out admit he wasn’t doing such a bad job after all?
