BAGGIES ARE YOUR CLUB, MED
WEST BROM intend to make defender Ahmed Hegazy’s loan permanent.
The Baggies plan to trigger a £4.5million option on the Egyptian ace (above) in January after a fine first half of the season.
Hegazy, 26, has been one of Albion’s shining lights in a disappointing campaign and no player has played more minutes for them.
His profile is sure to rise as part of Egypt’s World Cup squad, and the Midlands club have until the end of June to take up their clause with his Cairo-based parent club Al Ahly.
West Brom are eager to wrap up a deal, with the player already believed to have caught Liverpool’s eye. Baggies boss Alan Pardew said: “We’re pretty much down the road on that one. I’ve only been here for three games but he’s been terrific. He has fantastic attributes as a centrehalf and he’s learning.”
