RELAXED RAMS IN WAIT FOR THORNE

DERBY are in talks with midfielder George Thorne over a new deal – but are ready to play a waiting game.

Thorne’s contract expires in June and the Rams want to keep the 24-year-old (below).

Plagued by injury, he made his first league start for 18 months in Derby’s 1-0 win over Burton a fortnight ago. Boss Gary Rowett said: “Nobody is in a massive rush. I’m sure talks will pick up pace as January goes.”
