ACCESS ALL AREAS Behind the scenes with U2

BBC1, 9pm Whether you’re a superfan or someone who was disgruntled when their album appeared unwanted on their iTunes account, you can’t deny the impact of U2 around the world.

In this access-all-areas show, host Cat Deeley spends most of the time giggling like a schoolgirl as she interviews the multi-award-winning band. After the obligatory walk across the famous zebra crossing, U2 head inside Abbey Road studios to perform some of their biggest hits, plus tracks from new album Songs of Experience.

There’s also an amusing visit backstage at their recent gig in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Bono, The Edge, Adam and Larry are funny and open as they talk about everything from rehearsing in a garden shed, to who has the worst fashion sense and being a family.
