WESLEY HOEDT has warned that Southampton are in “danger” and desperately need to start picking up points.

Saints are 12th in the table but just three points above the drop zone after five games without a win.

Among festive fixtures are trips to Spurs and Manchester United.

Defender Hoedt, a £15million summer buy from Lazio, said: “We’re in danger. We have to stick together and, as fast as possible, pick up some points because I think we have a really good squad.

“We must be as focused as possible and take points as quickly as possible.’’
