I couldn’t agree more with your response to the elderly woman whose middle-aged daughter has given up her job and expects her mother to pay her way and skivvy after her (Dear Coleen, Dec 11).

This woman ought to be enjoying her later years without the burden and stress of caring for her grown-up child.

I wonder if her daughter will regret her behaviour when her mother is no longer around? Sadly, it sounds as if she’s always been spoilt and this is the result.
