£6m blow to Osborne pal

A MILLIONAIRE Tory MP has been forced to slash the sale price of his home by almost £6million due to reforms by his former colleague George Osborne.

Adam Afriyie, 52, put his Grade II-listed Georgian house in Westminster, Central London, on sale at £16.75million in 2015.

But he has now dropped the price to £10.9million.

Property experts blame the lack of demand on the rise in stamp duty from 7% to 12% made by the former Chancellor in 2014.
