OAP killed by pub ad board
A MAN died after strong winds blew a pub’s unsecured advertising board into him, an inquest heard.
Keith Holmes, 73, had a bleed on the brain after he was knocked down outside a Wetherspoons in Bingley, West Yorks, last November.
Witness Danielle Greaves said: “The wind pulled it outwards.”
On-duty manager Tom Ward admitted not reading an email about taking in boards due to strong winds. The Bradford crown court inquest continues.
