Disney day out for victims’ families is ‘little bit of cheer’

-

TV stars joined the families of Manchester Arena bomb victims as they were treated to a day out at Disneyland Paris yesterday.

Charlotte Hodgson, whose daughter Olivia Campbell-Hardy, 15, died in the terror attack, and husband Paul were with celebs Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright, comedian John Bishop and cast members of Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks on the trip.

The families flew out on an early-morning British Airways flight from Manchester Airport yesterday.

Mrs Hodgson said “Olivia was with them”, adding: “It’s amazing, they’ve given us a little bit of cheer this year after such a hard year.” Also there were Aleks and Patrycia Klis, aged 20 and 12, whose parents Angelika and Marcin Klis, from York, were both killed at the Ariana Grande concert in May.

Bishop, who joined families on the trip, paid for by BA, Comic Relief and Disney, said: “The strength of character they’ve all shown is beyond what anyone could possibly expect.”

Hundreds of teddy bears – among the 1,900 toys left at the Manchester bomb scene – have been cleaned and will be sent to children around the world.
