Damon ‘good guys’ grumble blasted
MATT Damon has come under fire again for his views on the Hollywood sex abuse scandal. The actor, 47, grumbled that “one thing that’s not being talked about is there are a whole s**tload of guys – the preponderance of men I’ve worked with – who don’t do this kind of thing”. Rose McGowan, 44, who has made sex abuse allegations against Harvey Weinstein, tweeted: “Matt Damon is dense AF.” Cher, 71, added: “One should not need or require
CRITICISED Actor Matt Damon applause for being a decent human being and not harassing or assaulting others.”
Damon’s comments to Business Insider came after he had said those accused of sexual misconduct were “like 1% of the guys” in Hollywood and there was a “spectrum of behaviour” in assault cases.
British actress Minnie Driver, 47, who dated Damon in the 1990s, tweeted that he had shown himself to be “utterly tone deaf and as a result, systemically part of the problem”.
