Drivers spike bird bombers
TREES have been fitted with spikes to stop pigeons pooing on expensive cars.
The move to stop the birds landing in two trees at a car park used by BMWs and Audis had left them “literally uninhabitable”, the Green Party said.
Residents in Clifton, Bristol, said the spikes were solely to protect the cars as there was a problem with droppings.
One tweeter wrote: “War on wildlife: now birds not allowed in trees.” Another added: “We’ve reached a new low. Appalling!”
