NOW IT’S SOFTLY SOFTLY FOR LAL

-

ADAM LALLANA will be gently eased back into Anfield action following his recovery from injury. The 29-year-old (left) came on as a substitute in Liverpool’s 4-0 win at Bournemouth on Sunday, only his second appearance of the season. The England midfielder broke down when he returned from a thigh injury against Chelsea last month and Kop boss Jurgen Klopp says he will not rush him back. “He’s back and that’s good,” said Klopp. “He needs more minutes and we have to manage that carefully.

“He’s not ready for three games in a row but he is ready to help us in a specific way.

“Hopefully we can build up his match fitness – that’s the only thing he is missing now.”

Lallana was booked within seconds of coming on at Bournemouth and Klopp said: “He was aggressive. It was only 10 seconds until he got a yellow card but I could not see because the Bournemouth physio was in the way.”
