Fight expert given life for brutal attack
A KICKBOXER has been jailed for life for a horrific assault on his girlfriend – after his gran called police.
Dennis Ross, 33, beat Sian Davies into a coma, inflicting such “appalling” injuries that paramedics could not tell her race.
The martial arts expert subjected Ms Davies, 32, to a three-day ordeal just weeks after they met.
But his gran saw her motionless on a bed and whispered to a 999 operator: “He’s going to kill me.”
Prosecutor Michael Jones told Cardiff crown court: “It’s clear that he intended to kill Sian.”
She had broken ribs and frostbite from an ice pack on her face at the flat in Rogerstone, Gwent, in July.
Ross admitted attempted murder and must serve at least seven years.
