Cops’ plea to mum of baby left in a park

- BY SALLY WARDLE

POLICE are becoming “increasingly concerned” for the mother of a baby discovered abandoned in a park three months ago.

The boy, named Harry by medical staff, was found in a white blanket.

Police issued photos and video of him as they urged his mum to come forward.

Harry can be seen wriggling happily in his cot, wearing a red and white striped baby grow.

He is “doing well” under local authority care, the Metropolitan Police said.

Detective Inspector Debbie McCormack said: “Harry’s mum, please let us know you are safe.”

Emergency services were called to the park in Plaistow, East London, at 8.20am on September 17.

Contact the police on 020 8217 6538 or 101.
