Pair in bid to take trophy

TWO BROTHERS tried to steal a footballer’s trophy.

Izzy Brown left it in a flat he used when on loan to Huddersfield Town.

Connor Cassidy, 21, and Tony, 24, were told about it by a cleaning lady.

The pair broke in to the flat in Holmfirth, West Yorks, but were disturbed, Kirklees magistrates heard. They admitted burglary. Connor was given a community order, including a thinking skills course, and Tony will be sentenced later.
