Kebab killed pub regular
A PUB-GOER was nearly nine times the drink-drive limit when he choked to death on a kebab.
David Rees, 51, was eating in his local when he collapsed. An inquest heard he had “near fatal” levels of alcohol in his blood – 303mg per 100ml. The drive limit is 35mg.
Bids to revive Mr Rees, of Cardigan, West Wales failed. And Aberystwyth coroner Peter Brunton added: “He was in no condition to help himself.”
Verdict: misadventure
