Thank you for all your wonderful comments about the too early death of my lovely colleague Keith Chegwin. If he were here, he’d be saying a ‘wey hey’ to you all.

Fiona, your fantastic tribute to Cheggers underlined everything I ever thought about him. I never met him but he made me smile whenever I saw him on telly.

But, you are right, I bet he never did realise his full popularity. Why don’t we tell people we love/admire while they’re still alive?
