ON TOUR WILL LOVE THE TRIP

- BY DAVE MITCHELL

TRAINER Evan Williams and jockey Mitchell Bastyan could be in for a huge 40 minutes at Ascot this afternoon.

Not only are the pair represented by the fancied Silver Streak in the Racing Welfare Hurdle, they also team up with ON TOUR in the preceding chase.

Bastyan is the conditional to follow as his mounts tend to be better value than those of the more hyped James Bowen.

Bastyan had a rare bad day in the office when falling off On Tour just when the nineyear-old was looming into contention at Newbury last time.

That was On Tour’s first failure to complete in 21 starts and that level of consistency makes him interesting today.

The nine-year-old has never been out of the frame in five outings going right-handed and won on three of those occasions.

He’s looked an improved horse this season and this step up in trip will suit.
