70 years wed for child pals

WE DO Alec and Edna tie knot A COUPLE who celebrated their 70th wedding anniversar­y yesterday still live near the street where they met as children aged six.

Alec and Edna Naulls grew up in Dagenham, East London, but were evacuated separately when war broke out. The pair were later reunited, fell in love and tied the knot in 1947 after moving back to the East End.
